Special Songs, Offertory, Sermon Tags, Thematic Music
The songs on this page were written for a specific theme or sermon topic, and keywords, etc are included. Working with the pastor or worship staff on thematic worship; planning tight themes for worship is one way to help people to open up to the message of Holy Spirit during worship in a deeper way.
A tag, is a song that was written specifically for the sermon, or message theme. Based on the pastor's sermon notes or manuscript, and usually written just in timefor the weekend's worship services, it is a special song, or sometimes a congregational song that was written specifically to reinforce the message or theme for the day’s worship. It was usually written as tight to the theme/points, or “take home” message, as was possible. It was an enriching experience and a blessing for me. For the better part of the past thirty years, it has been my pleasure to study with pastors, praying over the sermon theme, and then writing music from the sermon/manuscript, (usually very late in the week) a song to help tattoo the "take home" elements of the message into those worshipers who resonate with music, or multi-sensory input. I have been blessed by the practice and discipline, and I highly recommend it.
Some of the songs were "songs of the moment" and some were more keepers, but here are a selection of them with thematic keywords. Time catches up with us, I have charts for 600 plus tags. (Makes me feel old.) I will put more of them up here as I have time.

| Who Can You Trust | 12/05/11 | Trust Faith | From the album "You've Got The Power."SKA swing, a flash in the pan, but a fun style of music, and worthy of bringing back once in a while, just for the energy.
