Who Can You Trust

SKA swing, a flash in the pan, but a fun style of music, and worthy of bringing back once in a while, just for the energy. This song was written in a series of fast SKA swing songs we did in the late ninties. Song speaks of all the things we try to focus on to gain something in life, and then to find out that the one we can trust is Jesus.

Lyrics

Who can you trust!
©1998 Rob Krabbe

Chorus
Who can you trust?
Who can you count on?
Who can you tell your troubles too?
Who’s always there,
Never lets you down, !
Loves you no matter what you do.

Verse1
I tried to run with the crowd but I kept getting stepped on
I tried to save the world, the world just kept on,
What does tradition say, It’s always been this way,
We try to keep it so, under control.

Verse2
And when I try to make it with my own power,
I found I’m losing ground, by the hour,
People come and go, even those you think you know,
I guess I’ve always know it deep in my soul,

Verse3
I put my faith in money but —just let me down,
I really love my honey but —just let me down,
My friends, I had so many, I thought the world was sunny
I know this may sound funny, but —just let me down,
